- The ZiG is now the official currency of Zimbabwe. It replaced the ZWL on 5 April 2024
- Banks and businesses are required to start using and reporting in this currency. Prices in shops must now be in ZiG.
- The deadline for this conversation is Friday 12 April 2024
- The government is producing ZiG notes (cash) to replace bond notes. These notes will start circulating on 30 April 2024
- Members of the informal sector have started rejecting bond notes even though they are still legal tender until 26 April 2024
